TAD Fan Patch 1.1a (FP 1.1a) is a compatibility update for TAD Fan Patch 1.1 (FP 1.1), allowing users to continue using FP 1.1 on the newly-upgraded ESO under Robot Entertainment TAD Patch 1.02 (RE 1.02). You must have both FP 1.1 and the latest version of the TAD Fan Patch Launcher for this update to work. If you don't have both (or either), then you can find full download instructions for those here.

Haven't tried the fan patch out yet? You can find the notes for FP 1.1 here.

FP 1.1a is merely a compatibility update. The balance, bug, and map changes in the patch are exactly the same as those found in FP 1.1.

----------------------------------------

Installation Instructions

Upgrading to FP 1.1a can be done in 3 easy steps.

• Make sure your version of TAD has been upgraded to the Robot Entertainment patch 1.02.

• Download and install version 18 of the TAD Patch Launcher.

• Extract/Unzip fan patch version 1.1a to the folder where you keep your fan patches. (Which will usually be My Documents/My Games/Age of Empires III/Fan Patches). The file: http://viper.sanctuary-network.com/fp11a/as11a.zip

Release Notes

By downloading and using this patch, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the notes outlined below.

DISCLAIMER

You are using this program at your own risk. AgeSanctuary accepts no responsibility for any damage as a result of installing and operating this program.
• When you first open the program, it will take awhile to open due to the program storing the default Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02 patch that you should have installed already. You must have Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02 installed before running the patch launcher program.
• As a precaution make a backup copy of the following:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\DataPY.bar
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\data\
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires III\RM3\
• If you have issues with switching back to Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02, download and manually reinstall the default patch before trying a reinstall of the game.
• If you are using Windows Vista, you must run the program as an administrator. If you're having troubles with this issue, please make a reply to this topic.
LAUNCHING PATCHES
• Select your preferred language.
• Select one of the listed patches.
• If the patch came with any notes those will be shown.
• Click the Launch button which copies the files needed for the patch and then starts The Asian Dynasties.
• IMPORTANT: Before launching AgeSanctuary 1.1a, make sure you have Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02 installed already.
UNINSTALL
• You can uninstall this program using the Control Panel 'Add or Remove Programs' feature.
• IMPORTANT: Before uninstalling make sure that the last patch you used was the latest Robot Entertainment patch otherwise your game will be using an incorrect patch version.
ADDITIONAL NOTES

• If you wish to use the fan patch on ESO, all players in the game must use the same patch or you will have a CRC mismatch and be unable to play.
• Fan patches will only work with Quick Search if both players are using the same fan patch. You will not be matched up with players who are not on the same version of the fan patch as yourself.
• Not all languages have been included with the initial release of this patch. If not included, the language you select will instead revert to the default of English when using this fan patch. This will not overwrite whichever language version you use for the Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02 patch. If you wish another language to be added to the patch, please contact MNBob at AgeSanctuary.
• You do not need to use the patch launcher program every time you wish to open up TAD. If you used the program to switch to the fan patch, then it will remain so until you open up the patch launcher and switch back to Robot Entertainment TAD 1.02.
• If you have been using the command line in a TAD shortcut to disable intro cinematics, then you can continue to disable those intro cinematics by adding +noIntroCinematics to the user.cfg file located in My Documents\My Games\Age of Empires 3\Startup. If no user.cfg file exists in that folder, just create one with notepad and add the line.
